What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?
With the evolution and continued dominance and budget-friendly social media era with giants like Facebook, IG, and all, many small businesses must learn to capitalize and optimize the social media digital platform, this is what I tell my clients. You will be surprised how many small business entrepreneurs still don’t know the benefits of social and digital marketing platforms and sty only rely on word of mouth or newspaper Ad, just have deals, or no marketing.
Are their any trade organizations or groups that you belong to?
Black Marketers Association of America, Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, SWAG (Successful Women Around the Globe)
What is the advantage to working with an outside media buyer as opposed to having just an internal marketing director?
I actually write about this in full on my blog .
Advantages are that external marketing consultants bring Fresh Viewpoints, Out of the Box Thinking, Save Money by Reduced Overhead Cost all while Remaining Consistent and producing Great Ideas.
What is one tip that you would give when it comes to media planning?
Plan your media around your business goals and what’s needed vs just to get the word out or for general awareness. Many clients before they come to me just put out an Ad just because at any time, without thinking about the strategy behind it, this needs to stop.
How does a media buyer stay on top of trends with media placement?
Involve themselves in the industry of the business and in the media industry in general, by reading, watching and joining efficient business networking and resource social channels, groups and websites.
